– [Reporter] Donny, obviously
the game plan was to concentrate on the run tonight, what did you guys see and
just how good did it feel that once that first
run got out of the way, that it was able to keep going? – Yeah that was a big play. I thought we started
out the game real good, especially for a front-wise and we threw Jalen in there and he was his first start, so we
just wanted to make sure he got everything communicated and we know once he got a feel for
it he was going to be good. – [Reporter] Donell,
250 yards on the ground, 46 or so rushing attempts, you felt like this offense
is kind of starting to find it’s identity now, that was kind of- – Yeah we just, last week,
just opened our eyes. For us seniors, we all
just want to get together and emphasize, we just got to
do the little things right. Once we do the little things
and we get everything going, we’re a hard team to beat, so that was the emphasis this week. – [Reporter] Guys, I know
it’s a small stroke in the big picture of things but, you
guys haven’t gotten a win over Kentucky since you’ve been here, what does it mean to be able
to accomplish that today? – Yeah, see I haven’t
beat em in five years, so. Going through the (mumbles),
I was pretty excited about this game, I felt
good in the beginning and I just knew I just wanted
to go out and play good and I owe these guys something
so, I just thought the whole team just came
out with the mindset of wanting to get the win
and we were desperate. And we wanted to do it for
our seniors especially. – [Reporter] So obviously
guys, it’s better to go into a bi-week with a win than
a loss, but is it almost a little frustrating to
then, you got to wait two whole weeks to get back on the field and kind of keep that
momentum going from this win? – I wouldn’t say it’s frustrating. It’s always good to have that bi-week, get some rest and recovery and just know we’re going to go out
there and do our thing again. – Yeah I feel the same. I’ll be good for a week
off and I need it so, looking forward to it. – [Reporter] Joseph,
for a game like tonight where you kicked nine times, how is your recovery go? Is your leg a little more sore than usual on weeks like this? – Nothing that ice stuff can’t fix. – [Reporter] And I mean, do
you ever come into a game expecting to kick this much? Do you every say “If you had
to lean on me nine or ten “times I could handle it?” – I’m always ready for it. Whenever they need me, I’ll
go out there and do my job. – [Reporter] Donell, is this
sort of an offensive lineman’s dream game plan, in terms of
the amount of running attempts? – [Donell] You said was it like a dream? – [Reporter] For an offensive lineman, is this the kind of game plan
you like running the ball? – Yeah I mean, we knew going
in we need to run the ball and just keep our offense
balanced and we worked hard on it and coach emphasized that we
had to run the ball this year. That’s just something we feel good about and know that we can do it. – [Reporter] What was coach
Muschamp’s mood like this week, leading up to this game? – You know, he was, Coach Muschamp, he don’t look back on anything, and that’s what I like about him. He didn’t come out and he
ain’t going to put us down for- he said “Hey we got to (mumbles).” SEC team coming in here at
night, in front of our crowd and that was his main focus and we just needed to perform
well in front of our fans. – [Reporter] Donny, what’d
you think of Jalen Nichols’ performance tonight? – Yeah Jalen he put some stress on
me earlier in the week but hey you just have to settle him down. He’s a guy that, you know
he has all the ability and he’s a strong guy and he’s a
guy we always had faith in. The point is just knowing what to do so. I communicated with him,
and I relate some calls to make sure he had em
and he made a few mistakes but hey, he kept playing, so that’s what I’m more proud about. – [Reporter] So what’d
you think of Muschamp’s look with the glasses tonight? Did you guys notice that at all? – Yeah, he had them things on his nose, looking like (laugher). – [Reporter] It’s a good look, I like it. – Yeah, I like it too. Makes him look experienced I think. Let you know what’s you doing. All right, I don’t know how
you all got Lou Bezjak in here.
