Orlando business donates leis for UCF football game

at 5:00 now mackenzie milton is helping his team prepare for this saturday’s American Conference championship from his hospital room that’s pretty unbelievable right quarterbacks coach Jeff levy told reporters that Milton has been facetiming into team meetings from his Tampa hospital room today the injured quarterback was named the 2018 American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year after leading the Knights to a perfect regular season for the second year in a row he won the honor last season as well on Saturday fans are planning to honor Mackenzie Milton in a very special way News six is Amanda Castro joins us now with how one UCF alum is helping fans show they are all a part of his Ohana or family every single person inside spectrum stadium on Saturday will get one of these a colorful lei to honor quarterback Mackenzie Milton and the UCF alum behind these lei says this is his way to show his support for Milton and the entire football team his family is one family it’s a lot of family rallying behind UCF quarterback Mackenzie Milton after he was injured last week showing support for the team in a colorful way we want to give back to the to the college and you know let let him know and let all other players know that you got a ton of fans behind him and the entire team Sanjay Sampson of Austin is a UCF alum and the president of global enterprises a local company that makes promotional gear when he heard UCF wanted to do something to honor Milton during Saturday’s championship game against Memphis he knew he could get results donating thousands of leis so every fan can wear one during the game the flower necklaces representing Milton’s home of Hawaii we’re excited about the the look the feel the energy in the crowd for sure Serina Boston says he had the leis in stock at his warehouse in Orlando many necklaces already boxed up and ready to be delivered to UCF before the big game Serna Bosson wouldn’t say how many leis he’s donating but you see a football expects to hand out 40,000 of them he hopes each lei will lift the team spirit letting the players know the entire community stands behind them the rally behind you know KZ but more so behind our team and the University you know we’ve got a city behind us and hopefully we’ll can come out and showcase that this Saturday in Orlando I’m Andy Castro new six now fans are also being asked to wear black to Sunday’s game against Memphis we’ve posted a Saturday’s game against Memphis we’ve posted a game day timeline of events detailing when tailgating lots open and everything happening up until kickoff just visit click Orlando calm
